Help us pray for…
Prayer Request - September 13, 2026
Lord, thank you for all the wonderful blessings You give to us each and every day. Thank you most of all for the generous grace and love You pour out on us, even though we do not deserve it and often do not appreciate it. Help us to understand that we can do nothing to earn our salvation. We must accept it as a gift, and then continue to trust in You, the giver.
Lord help us to understand the mentoring process that Jesus and others used so that we may replicate it now to spread Your kingdom across the globe! Help us to reach those in need and walk beside them, laugh with them, cry with them, and encourage them. Let us remember that we are not to be only individuals, we are members of a community; members of Your body! Help us to grow through and with our individual church communities, always remembering that we are part of the larger community, Your body, the Church.
Lord, help us remember to set aside time each day to talk with You, to listen to You, and to learn more about You from Scriptures and from prayer. Let us not neglect time with You or substitute something else in that time. Help us imitate You more closely and model You to those around us, so they too will want to be Your disciple.
Thank you, Lord, for answering each and every prayer. Help us to understand and remember, You are our Father. As a parent, You must sometimes give the answer of a resounding “No” to our requests. Sometimes the answer is “Wait and see” (with the wait part emphasized!). And sometimes, the answer is “yes”, although it may come with a caveat that You have a better way! All parents have given those answers to their children at some point. Help us to remember You also give those answers to us as our Father.
Thank you, that You are with us and in us constantly and consistently. We are never alone, nor do we ever face anything alone. Help us to be bold enough to voice this to others, as well as model it.
-- Meg, Sue’s co-worker, is recovering after her liver/kidney transplants. Please continue to pray for her recovery without complications. Pray also that the transplants will not be rejected.
-- Cory, Sue’s co-worker, is recovering after surgery last week for cancer. Please continue to pray for Cory’s recovery and that the procedure was successful. Pray also for his family as they travel this difficult road. Give them and the medical teams wisdom and discernment.
-- Dawn S. is having surgery this week. Please pray for wisdom for the medical staff and a speedy recovery without any complications.
-- June, Greg and Jean’s friend, had an angiogram last week for a clogged stent. She is also having some other heart issues. Please pray for her recovery and for wisdom for her medical team as they treat the additional issues.
-- Laura, June Denny’s sister from Mescalero, went home to the Lord last week. Please pray for the family during this difficult time. Pray also for Pastor Ted as he ministers to the family and officiates at the service.
-- Pastor Rafael, Alberto’s pastor in Mexico, needs continuing prayers. The pathology report was not good. The cancer is aggressive and remains since the doctors were not able to remove the entire tumor. Please pray for peace, comfort, strength and courage for Pastor Rafael and his family as they travel this difficult road.
-- Benjamin, Stephanie, and Wayne, friends of Pastor John, need prayers for their salvation. Please pray God will soften their hearts and minds towards Him and they will accept Jesus as their Lord.
-- Jennie P. is in hospice care now and is failing. Jim is able to be with her. Please pray for both Jennie and Jim as Jennie transitions to a new life.
PRAISE AND PRAYERS
-- Bev is recovering after surgery. It was wonderful to see her this morning in worship. PRAISE GOD! Please continue to pray she will recover without any complications. Pray also the surgery has been successful.
-- Ken is also recovering after surgery. He too was able to worship with us this morning. PRAISE GOD! Please continue to pray he will recover without any complications and will feel like himself soon!
-- Communidad Reformada Vida is the church Alberto and Asbei are working to plant in South Tucson. Please continue to pray for Alberto and Asbei as they follow God’s leading to establish this church and that the church will be a blessing to many people in the area. Pray also for the Generation – Spark project that Asbei is involved with. This project is a denomination program to help attract youth and children to the Lord, especially those not raised in a Christian home.
-- Please continue to pray for C.V.C.C. and for Mescalero Reformed Church as both congregations continue to define God’s direction for their church and search for the pastor He has chosen for each of them.
Lord, as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of this country this year, we pray for our country and especially for its leaders. We pray people will again recognize God’s hand throughout our history and acknowledge that without His guidance and presence, society spirals downward quickly. We pray our leaders will heed God's guidance and return to be servants of God and servant of the people as the founding fathers decreed. We pray also the rhetoric spoken so glibly that is divisive and pro-violence will start focusing on the real needs of people and practicality and not just be spoken to be divisive and derogatory.
Lord, we continue to pray for our military men and women past and present, who have paid a high price to keep this country free for us to enjoy. We also pray for all the first responders, especially our law enforcement officers, who have been demonized and targeted for death by the reckless rhetoric. We pray Lord God that You will be with each of them, that You will protect them and provide for them and that You will give each Your peace and comfort. We pray also for their families and loved ones as they endure the uncertainty of their world and cope with the special challenges they face each day.
