Help us pray for…

Prayer Request - December 14, 2025

Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of Salvation that You have given us as a free gift from Your love and mercy.  Help us remember it is by grace we are saved, not by anything we can do.  As we journey through this Advent season, let us remember Your grace and mercy came to us in the form of a helpless babe who grew up to carry the weight of the world's sin on his shoulders to the cross.  Help us remember the gifts You gave us that first Christmas and that those gifts are still given to use each day!

In this hectic season of hurrying with worldly errands and concerns, help us remember that although our worldly relationships are important and need our care, it is our relationship with You that is most important, and it too needs our care and attention.  Help us remember to spend time with You each day and, especially during this season, and to build each other up through prayer, encouragement and patience.

Thank you, Lord, for the wonderful gifts You give to us, not only during Your birthday celebration, but throughout each day of our lives.  Thank you for the hope we have in You that cannot be taken away, tainted, or destroyed by anything in the world.  Let us remember that our hope is built on You, and You, alone.  Help us remember our troubles and trials here are but momentary troubles when we consider them in light of our eternal home with You.  Enable us to live out the love You have shown us and share it with those around us.  Let us accept and experience Your love each day, so that we may love those in our lives better through You and share that love with those who need it.  Help us experience the joy we find in You.  Enable us to be joyful, in You and Your provision for us, even amid adverse circumstances.  Let the light of our hope, love and joy, reflect You to those around us and to our "corner of the world", wherever that may be.

Give us wisdom and discernment to hear Your voice when we need to hear it; especially during this very "noisy", hectic season.  Let us remember that no one, no one, is "to far gone" that You cannot reach them and heal them.  Give us the courage to be Your feet and loving hands in our broken and hurting world.

Lord, we pray for those around the world, especially our brothers and sisters, who are experiencing political unrest, war, natural disasters, and other "unpeaceful" situations.  We pray You will infuse global leaders with Your wisdom, discernment, and a heart for peace.  We pray for the safety of our brothers and sisters spreading Your message who are enduring persecution, war, family rejection, and fear.  We pray their message will be heard by their listeners and that You will bless them in all the special ways You know they need.

-- Trevor went to Urgent Care for strange symptoms.  He is now in the hospital.  This is a very difficult thing for him and for Skye, his mom.  Please pray the doctors will be able to find the cause of his symptoms and treat them.  Pray also for Chloe, his sister, and Skye during this time.

-- Larry, Walt and Diana's son-in-law, is in the hospital with multiple health issues.  Please pray the doctors will be able to treat him and he will be well soon.  Pray also for the family during this time.

-- Jim, Eric's friend, has an inoperable heart valve problem.  Please pray Jim will be able to accept his "new normal" and there will be no complications.  Pray also for his family as they adjust also.

-- Hope E. needs a stent for some heart issues.  Please pray all will go well with the procedure and she will be feeling better soon.  Pray also for Eric and Don and Nada during this anxious time for them.

-- Paul needs continuing prayers for his cancer "journey".  Please pray he will be able to tolerate the treatments and that they will be successful.  Pray also for his family during this time.

-- Altieri family (Michelle, Tony, Samuel and Reagan) are all sick.  Sometimes parents wish the children would not share everything!  Please pray they will all be feeling better soon.

-- Dawn is struggling with foot pain and a knee problem, on the same leg of course!  Please pray there will be a resolution to the pain and knee problem soon.

PRAISE AND PRAYERS!

-- Jenae, Isla's granddaughter, came through her surgery just fine.  PRAISE GOD!  Please continue to pray for Jenae and the family as they await the results of the surgery and determine what the next steps may be.

-- Ron's mom also came through the surgery to repair her broken leg well.  PRAISE GOD!  She is going into rehab to regain her strength now.  Please continue to pray for her and for Ron who is one of her caregivers.  (Ron is on Dawn's team at work.)

-- Pastoral Search Committee is working very hard.  Please pray for God's wisdom, discernment, strength and courage for each of them as they work to find the next pastor.  Pray also that God will make the one He has chosen for us very evident to them.

== Please continue to say special prayers for our military men and women past and present, especially during this season.  They have sacrificed so much that we may have the freedoms we have, including the freedom to worship together publicly and to pray together.  Please pray for comfort, peace, discernment, and courage for each of them and for their families.  We know it takes as much courage, or more, to face the future for those who have returned home.  Pray God will be with each one who has returned from battle and that each may have His peace amidst their struggles and His strength and courage in the face of difficult circumstances.  Pray God will be with those who still serve, especially those in dangerous areas and away from family and friends this season; keeping them safe and giving them His peace, wisdom and discernment for each of the situations they face.

== Please continue to pray for the first responders, especially our law enforcement officers, around the country as they try to help those in need of help.  Many do their jobs consistently well and constantly, despite the very real threats to their safety and the "defunding" and "demonizing" battles that affect everything they do.  Pray this trend will be reversed soon.  The first responders carry a tremendous burden, both physically and emotionally, and provide a very necessary service.  Pray for God to be with their families also, as these things make a difficult  environment even more difficult and so very much more difficult for them as families.

== Please continue to pray for our country and our leaders.  Pray all our leaders, elected and appointed, will turn to God for guidance, wisdom and discernment.  Pray the democratic process will be protected for the future and that violence and "demonizing rhetoric" will not become the only answer people have when they don't like something or someone or someone's views.  Pray the media will begin to give unbiased reports as they should and that the leaders and media will not abuse their power and position for their personal gain and agendas.  Pray God will help them understand the responsibility they have to the people they serve.
