Prayer Request - October 11, 2026
Lord, thank you for all the wonderful blessings You give to us each and every day. Thank you most of all for the generous grace and love You pour out on us, even though we do not deserve it and often do not appreciate it. Help us to understand that we can do nothing to earn our salvation. We must accept it as a gift, and then continue to trust in You, the giver.
Lord, help us remember to set aside time each day to talk with You, to listen to You, and to learn more about You through the scriptures and in prayer. Let us not neglect time with You or substitute something else for it. Help us imitate You more closely and model You to those around us, so they too will want to be Your disciple.
Thank you, Lord, for answering each and every prayer. Help us (adults) to understand and remember, You are our Father. As a parent, You must sometimes give the answer of a resounding “No” to our requests. Sometimes You give the answer as, “Wait and see” (with the “wait” part emphasized!) Sometimes, Your answer is “yes”, although it may come with a caveat that You have a better way than what we can think of! All parents have given those answers to their children at some point. Help us to remember You also give those answers to us as our Father.
Thank You for being with us and in us constantly and consistently. We are never alone, nor do we ever face anything (trial, adversity, or joy) alone. Help us be bold enough to voice this to others and model it.
-- Meg, Sue’s co-worker, needs continuing prayers for her recovery after a liver and kidney transplant that occurred three months ago. Praise to You that she will be coming home soon! Please pray also for her family as they continue to support her.
-- Cory, Sue’s co-worker, needs continuing prayer after surgery. Please pray for an uncomplicated and speedy recovery.
-- Tammi, Sue’s Friend, is preparing for an upcoming knee surgery. Please pray for a speedy recovery and for all the doctors and nurses who will be in charge of her during surgery and also in rehab.
--Cara, Sue’s coworker, continued prayers for her husband, Roy, who is battling lung cancer. Please pray for strength for Cara to support Roy during his battle and healing.
--June, friend of Jean & Greg's, has an appointment next week to decide on heart surgery or a stent. Please pray for wisdom for her and her medical team for the next steps
-- Diana is having an MRI this upcoming week. Please continue to pray that the MRI is successful and that it helps determine the next steps.
-- Jessica, Rachael’s daughter, is having abdominal surgery this week. Please pray for a speedy recovery and for all the doctors and nurses who will be in care of her during surgery and also in recovery
-- Pastor Rafael, Alberto’s pastor in Mexico, needs continuing prayers as he battles brain cancer. Please pray for peace, comfort, strength, and courage for Pastor Rafael and his family as they travel this difficult road.
--Zamar, Alberto’s friend, has a kidney tumor. Please pray for healing and for Alberto as he helps to support his friend during this time
--Vernon, a friend of Diana and Walt’s, is having stent surgery coming up. Please pray for a speedy recovery and for all the doctors and nurses who will be in charge of her during surgery, and also in rehab
-- Dawn is traveling home later this week. Please pray for traveling mercies and a safe trip home.
-- Continued prayers for the Navajo Nation as they have had some disastrous flooding there. Please pray for those affected by the floods and especially for the families who have lost loved ones, livelihoods, homes, or personal belongings.
--Please pray for everyone who is participating in Project ALPHA. Pray that every meeting is successful for everyone involved and that they continue to learn and apply it in their personal lives.
-- Comunidad Reformada Vida is the church Alberto and Asbei are working to plant in South Tucson. Please continue to pray for Alberto and Asbei as they follow God’s leading to establish this church, and that the church will be a blessing to many people in the area. Pray also for the ‘Generation Spark’ project that Asbei is involved with. This project is a denomination program to help attract youth and children to the Lord, especially those not raised in a Christian home.
-- Please continue to pray for C.V.C.C. and for Mescalero Reformed Church as both congregations continue to define God’s direction for their church and search for the pastor He has chosen for each of them.
Lord, as we celebrate this country's 250th anniversary this year, we pray for our country, especially for its leaders. We pray people will again recognize God’s hand throughout our history and acknowledge that without His guidance and presence, society spirals downward quickly. We pray our leaders will heed God's guidance and return to be servants of God and servants of the people as the founding fathers decreed. We pray that the rhetoric spoken so glibly, that is divisive and pro-violence, will start focusing on the real needs of people and practicality, and not just be spoken to be divisive and derogatory.
Lord, we continue to pray for our military men and women, past and present, who have paid a high price to keep this country free for us to enjoy. We also pray for all the first responders, especially our law enforcement officers, who have been demonized and targeted for death by the reckless rhetoric. We pray, Lord God, that You will be with each of them, that You will protect them and provide for them, and that You will give each Your peace and comfort. We also pray for their families and loved ones as they endure the uncertainty of their world and cope with the special challenges they face each day.
