Help us pray for…

Prayer Request -March 22, 2026

Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of Your mercy, love and salvation that You gave us as a gift.  Help us remember it is by Your grace we are saved, not by anything we do, or don't do or by anything we can do or cannot do.  Let us remember Your gifts are available to us each day, not just on special holidays.  We just need to be willing to accept them.  We can do this simply by relying on You and asking for Your help.  Lord, help us to listen to Your guidance and be willing to follow Your will for us as individuals and as a church family.  Most of all, enable us to have the faith and the trust of little children in You, our Heavenly Father.

Lord, help us to be good stewards of the many gifts You have given us.  Help us to protect and nurture the gifts of the natural world around us, where there is such beauty and majesty all with a balance and a plan.  Help us to invest our gifts, talents and monetary resources for the glory of You and to further Your kingdom here on earth.  Let us be open to "investment" opportunities for our personal gifts and talents as well as our corporate gifts as C.V.C.C.  Help us remember that good caretakers and stewards invest wisely, manage what they have, and give generously to others.  Let us always remember Your promise that You will provide for our every need  and it will ALWAYS BE ENOUGH.

Help us to pray persistently for wisdom and discernment to do what You call us to do.  Thank you for providing for our every need, both corporately and individually, as we seek to be Your hands and feet to those around us.  Help us remember that although the world's future is very uncertain in many ways, especially now, our future is in Your very capable and unfailing hands.  We really have no reason to worry about the future!  Although it is good to plan for the future, we must ultimately remember that You hold the future, not us.  With You, our future in heaven is secure and waiting; regardless of how uncertain our future in the world may look or feel to us.

Lord, give us wisdom and discernment to hear Your voice when we need to hear it.  Let us remember that no one, ABSOLUTELY no one, is "to far gone", or too far out of range that You cannot reach them and heal them because You are God and we are NOT!  Help us remember that healing is a process; it doesn't happen overnight.  Give us the courage and, even a push now and then, to be Your servants with loving hands and hearts in our broken and hurting world.

Let us jealously guard our time with You each day and to never neglect our relationship with You.  Let us remember that You are not only our King, but our best friend, and we can talk with You and spend time with You, as we would with our earthly best friend.

-- Diana K will be undergoing some additional ultra-sound testing this week.  Please pray this will give the medical the information they need to help her.

-- Jeff, Isla's son (and Jenae's father) is still in the hospital after a six-bypass heart surgery.  Please pray the procedure will continue to be successful for him.  Pray also that he will be able to adjust to his "new normal" easily.  Pray also for the family, as this is very scary for them also.

-- Jenae, Isla's granddaughter, needs continuing prayers for her battle with cancer.  Her chemo is on hold for now and she is undergoing more tests.  Continue to pray for the family as they travel this very uncertain road.

-- Alex R, Sr, had surgery last week.  Please pray for his continuing recovery.  Pray he will have the patience to allow himself to heal.  Pray also for the family as they care for him.  Pray also for Val and the family as they continue to try and help Sabrina and her children.

-- Lynette, John's wife, and her family need continuing prayers as they deal with grief and the short life expectancy of a sibling with cancer.  Pray for God's presence, peace, and comfort to envelop them all.  Pray also for wisdom and discernment about any decisions that need to be made.

-- Pray for peace and comfort for all those who lost loved ones last week.

-- Please continue to pray for the safety of our military men and women overseas, especially those involved in combat areas.  Pray also for peace, comfort, and strength for their families during this time.  It is so very hard on them also.

 PRAISE AND PRAYERS:

-- Arlene, Skye's friend, passed away last week.  Please pray for the family as they grieve this loss and travel to and from Tucson.  Skye says Arlene came back to her faith after a long absence.  Praise God for that!

-- Pastoral Search Committee is working very hard.  Please pray for God's peace, wisdom, strength and courage for each of them through this time.  Pray also that God will make the one He has chosen for us very evident in His time.

As always, please continue to pray for our military men and women past and present, and for all the first responders, especially our law enforcement officers.  Pray God will be with each of them, that He will protect them and provide for them and that He will give them His peace and comfort.  Pray also for their families and loved ones as they endure the uncertainty of their world and cope with the challenges they face daily.

Please also pray for our country and its leaders during this new year.  Pray the leaders will heed God's guidance and return to be servants of God and the people.  Pray the rhetoric will start focusing on people and practicality and not just be divisive rhetoric.
